• Grass-fed bovine heart from New Zealand
• Grass-fed bovine liver from New Zealand

Sea cucumber

We source our sea cucumber from a producer who follows strict protective guidelines, set by the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans, including harvest catch limits and seasonal timing. Additional measures include consistent surveying of stock status metrics and ecosystem health by marine scientists.

We limit waste by utilizing the whole organism.

Berries

All our berries are certified organic and we take care in selecting producers that we trust.

Organs

Our bovine organs are sourced from New Zealand producers who follow regenerative agricultural practices and are always grass-fed.

Packaging

We use tin packaging instead of glass or plastic. Tin is infinitely recyclable and weighs less than glass reducing fuel burden of shipping.

Sea cucumber is not a plant as the name may suggest, but is a marine animal. They are part of the same group (phylum if you want to get technical!) as starfish and sea urchins.

Sea cucumber has been consumed for centuries as a prized delicacy for its nutritional and traditional medicinal properties. Sea cucumber has been widely consumed in China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Russia.¹

Although an animal, sea cucumbers do not have eyes and do not have brains. They do have a mouth on one end and an anus on the other!

There are many species of sea cucumber. The species in Cellemental Complete is Northern Sea Cucumber (Cucumaria frondosa). The nutritional profile is impressive, rich in vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids.¹
